1. Jonah’s Calling to Nineveh

• Read Jonah 1:1-2. Do you find it surprising that God calls Jonah to go to Nineveh? Why do you think God chose this method to reach the people of Nineveh?
• Can you think of other examples in the Bible where God chooses one person or people to share His message with others?

God's Purpose in Choosing Certain People

    2. God’s Plan for Abram and the Church

• Read Genesis 12:1-3 and Matthew 16:17-20. Why did God set Abram and his descendants apart, according to these passages? What purpose does Jesus have in building His church?
• What do these scriptures reveal about God's method of pursuing people?

God's Pursuit of Humanity

    3. God’s Choice to Use Others for Our Sake

• Read Genesis 1:31 and 2:18. Why do you think God pursues us by choosing some people for the sake of others?
• What would be the impact if God revealed Himself to everyone individually? How does this shape the way we think about our relationship with God?

The Role and Mission of the Church

   4. The Church's Role in God’s Mission

• Why do we need the church? What is its purpose in God's plan?
• How should we, as the church, be on mission both inside and beyond the walls of the church?
• What steps can you take to be on mission? How can we, as a group, encourage and support you in this?
