Pastoral CARE & SUPPORT

So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.

1 Thessalonians 5:11

Pastoral Counselling

Difficult seasons of life, though painful, also offer a rich opportunity for spiritual growth. That is why our pastoral team is available to meet with those in our congregation who are struggling. Our team can provide short term care and counselling that offers wisdom and prayer in the midst of life’s challenges. Guided by the Holy Spirit, this type of counselling is rooted in prayer and scripture, and draws on psychological principles that are consistent with biblical wisdom.

When in-person appointments are not possible, pastoral counselling appointments are still available by phone or video call. Contact [email protected] for more information or to set up an appointment.

Our pastoral team can also provide referrals to professional counsellors throughout London and the surrounding area for challenges that are beyond the scope of what pastoral counselling can offer.

Home & Hospital Visits

In times of sickness or declining health, we believe it is important for people to continue to feel connected and cared for through their church community. That is why our Visitation Team is in place, to provide phone calls and visits to those in our congregation who are sick or shut-in. Our team of volunteers are carefully screened and trained to provide comfort, prayer, and encouragement.

Currently, our visitation team is not making home visits, but is still available to check in by phone to encourage and pray with those who are sick and shut in.

Food Cupboard

North Park’s Food Cupboard runs once a month on a Monday from 12:30pm-2:30pm. It is more than just a ministry that distributes food to those in our church who are in need; it is also a place where real community and belonging is found.

The North Park Food Cupboard is intended to provide support for those who consider North Park their church home and are in need of the support offered through the cupboard. If you are interested in attending our next Food Cupboard, please register in advance by emailing [email protected].

Please note that during the pandemic, we will adjust the format of our monthly food cupboard as needed in order to adhere to government guidelines and ensure this ministry can operate safely.

If you are in need of pastoral counselling,  a referral to a professional counsellor or would like to receive a visit from our visitation  team, complete the form below or call the office at 519-457-1400 between 8:30am-4:30pm and you will be connected with a member of our pastoral team.

If you are requesting a visit on behalf of a loved one from North Park, please be aware that we are only able to visit if they have given their consent.
