With a friend, your family or in your small group, discuss the following questions:
- Do you make New Year's resolutions? Why? Are you successful in carrying them out? What stops you from fulfilling your resolutions?
- What are you wanting to work on or change for this new year, 2023?
- What things can you do to draw closer to Jesus in 2023?
- Read Ecclesiastes 4:9-12. Do you have people in your life to help, encourage and support you? If not, why not? How can you find people to help you with accountability and support?
- What gifts or talents has God given you? If you don't know, ask some people close to you what strengths they see in you.
- Are you using your gifts and talents to serve in the faith community at North Park?
- Read 1 Corinthians 12:12-13. What symbol does Paul use to describe the functioning of the church?
- Explain the comparison and the main points that Paul wants to convey.
- What other symbols are used in Scripture to describe the church?
- Who is a member of the body?
- What is the role of the members? What is your role here at North Park?
- Read James 1:22-25. How are you doing in living out this verse in your daily walk?
- Share with your group or a friend the areas that you are involved in the life of North Park. How is your life being enriched by serving? How are you benefiting those around you?
- If you are not connected, discuss with your group or a friend how you can be more involved at North Park. Why is it biblical and necessary in your discipleship journey to serve and be involved in the church?
