The grade 1-5 area at North Park desires to see kids excited to come to church, and develop a deeper understanding of the Bible. Through memory verses, interactive Bible teaching, prayer boards, kids bands, and engaging small group leaders, the grade 1-5 ministry is full of laughter and learning. But we don’t just want to stick to Sunday mornings.

North Park as a whole is outreached focused, so we strive to give the grade 1-5 students opportunities to live beyond themselves. A monthly tithe helps financially support a sponsor child. They also serve in their own ministry by being on a kids worship band leading their peers in musical worship, or through being a greeter in the main church hallways to make sure all feel at home as they walk in.

Beyond Sunday mornings, we recognize that life is busy for families during the week and want to provide chances for life to slow down so parents and kids can connect on a deeper level. Previously, the events were a mother/son date night, daddy/daughter date night, grandparents night, and a family fun night. At each event, the parents/grandparents had opportunities to ask their child questions, and vice versa to allow each other other to be known better – and to be known results in a greater understanding, which leads to healthier relationships. We also offer a Thursday night program to allow grade 1-5 students to connect with each other and some of their teachers; some of these programs include Recipes for Success and Sports Mashup.
