The LORD is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit. -Psalm 34:18
Pastoral Care & Counselling
As a church, we know that there are times when life gets overwhelming. Struggle and pain are a part of the human condition, and when people are facing difficult times, they need to be cared for physically, emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually by a loving and supportive community. Those that serve together, or are in small groups together, can often provide a great network of support for each other, offering practical help and prayer during times of emotional turmoil, stress, or illness.
While this kind of support and care is important during hard times, there are also moments when additional help is needed. Difficult seasons of life, though painful, also offer a rich opportunity for spiritual growth. That is why our pastoral team is available to meet with those in our congregation who are struggling. Our team can provide short term care and counselling that offers wisdom and prayer in the midst of life’s challenges. Guided by the Holy Spirit, this type of counselling is rooted in prayer and scripture, and draws on psychological principles that are consistent with biblical wisdom.
Our pastoral team can also provide referrals to professional counsellors throughout London and the surrounding area, for challenges that are beyond the scope of what pastoral counselling can offer.
If you are in need of pastoral counselling, or a referral to a professional counsellor, email email@example.com or call the office at 519-457-1400 between 8:30am-4:30pm, and you will be connected with a member of our pastoral team.
Marriages hold seasons of blessing, as well as seasons of struggle, and we believe it is important for couples to have strong support and wise input that will help their marriage thrive. We use a counselling program called Prepare/Enrich to support engaged couples as well as seasoned couples needing some extra input in order for their marriage to thrive. For more information on our marriage counselling program, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and one of our pastors would be glad to talk with you.
