Josh is currently working on his Bachelor of Theology at Master’s College and Seminary.  In January 2012, Josh joined the North Park team and is the team leader for NP Fuel Sr & Jr High.



Ron Burdock
Director of Global Outreach
Ron was born in Newfoundland and grew up in Ontario.  Leveraging backgrounds in business, para-church ministry and Oxford studies in Mission and Development, Ron champions North Park’s global initiatives.

Director of Community Outreach
David has overseen the Outreach Initiatives at North Park since 2004 which has led to the establishing of the Life Resource Centre and Mosaic Intercultural Church in Northeast London.  With a passion to see churches planted in under-resourced communities, he has spent the last 20 years bringing the good news to newcomers and those with economic and social challenges.
 matt_eckert   Matt Eckert
Executive Lead Pastor
In 2004, after a rewarding 13-year career in domestic and international banking, Matthew joined North Park as Pastor of Small Group ministries. Over the years he has led in several areas including community outreach initiatives and the development of a spiritual maturity plan. In 2016 he took on the role of Executive Lead Pastor overseeing all aspects of ministry at North Park. He holds a Master of Theological Studies and a Doctor of Ministry from Tyndale Seminary in Toronto. He is married to Janice and they have two adult children and a daughter-in-law.


Jordan Elgie
Director of Worship
Joining the North Park team in May 2013, Jordan holds a bachelors degree in Music from Humber College in Toronto, and has done online and part time theological studies at Vanguard College, Masters College and Seminary, and Sanctus School for Worshipers.

Pastor of Community Care
After working for 5 years as a professional counsellor in private practice, Trish joined the North Park staff in September 2013. Equipped with a Masters of Theological Studies with a concentration in Pastoral Counselling from Laurier (2008), Trish provides part-time support and leadership to the many Care Ministries North Park has to offer, and remains available for weddings, funerals, and pastoral counselling. The rest of her time is dedicated to her husband Imraan and their two energetic daughters. Together, she and Imraan have served as worship leaders at North Park since 2002.

Director of Children’s Ministry

Teaching Pastor
Paul joined the North Park Team as Teaching Pastor in January 2013. Prior to that, he was a Pastor in Waterloo for almost 16 years and a teacher in the Waterloo Public School Board for ten years. He is a graduate of Tyndale Seminary and Western University. Paul and his wife, Carolyn have four young adult children and one son in law. He loves to bike and walk the trails of London and read in his spare time (and he cheers for the Toronto Maple Leafs!)
    Shane Simms
Pastor of Adult Discipleship
Shane has been in pastoral ministry for more than 15 years in different capacities. He has devoted much of his leadership career to exploring the connection between missional living and Christian discipleship. Shane leverages this knowledge in his role at North Park as Pastor of Adult Discipleship. He holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Theology, as well as a Doctor of Ministry degree from Tyndale Seminary in Toronto. Shane is married to Yvonne and they have two children, Bella and Georgia. 


Cathy Thornton
Director of Preschool Ministries
A graduate from Tyndale College, Cathy has been part of the North Park team since 2001.  In addition to her Bachelor of Religious Education, she is a Registered Early Childhood Educator, with a diploma from Seneca College.

ann_wiebe   Ann Wiebe
Director of Welcome Ministries
Ann began as a volunteer at North Park in 1993 and joined the staff in 1999 to give oversight and lead the development of adult small groups. Ann now gives oversight to North Park’s NEW Welcome Ministry.  This includes every first contact and first-impression aspect of the church. The goal is to develop a consistent and intentional welcome experience for our guests. Ann and her husband, Grant, have 3 young adult children and one son-in-law. She likes to play games with her family and read for enjoyment!
