Through the Engage initiative, North Park has made a concerted effort to impact the City of London, Ontario. Since the Fall of 2007 our church has been on a journey to LEARN about the needs of London, to GIVE to the needs of London, and to SERVE the needs of London. North Park continues to partner with a number of non-profit organizations in the city who have an expertise in meeting specific needs. These organizations have helped to educate us as well provide opportunities where we can work alongside them to serve. The current organizations that we work with are:

Life Resource Centre

  • A ministry of North Park Church working with refugees and lower income Canadians.

Friendship Club

  • A ministry of North Park Church that provides an informal weekly program for adults and youth aged 15 and over who have intellectual disabilities, for purposes of Christian education, fun and fellowship.

Mission Services

  • Who opens doors of hope to those seeking emergency shelter and support, by offering safe shelter, food, and clothing and by facilitating rehabilitation as needed, in an atmosphere of compassion. www.missionservices.ca

Cheshire

  • Who supports individuals with physical disabilities to live actively, independently and with dignity in their own community. www.cheshirelondon.ca
     

London Crisis Pregnancy Centre

  • Who assist men and women in crisis situations related to pregnancy and sexual health issues. www.loncpc.ca

Teen Challenge

  • A 12-month, faith-based, residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation program. www.teenchallenge.ca

Canadian Blood Services

  • Whose sole mission is to manage the blood and blood products supply for Canadians. www.bloodservices.ca

New Life Prison Ministries

  • Which provides Christian videos/DVDs and Bible correspondence courses to inmates, their families, and chaplains across Canada. New Life also actively participates in chapel services in institutions and one-on-one visitation with inmates. www.nlpm.com

Habitat for Humanity London

  • Exists to build simple, decent, affordable housing for low-income families. www.habitatlondon.ca
