God desires that all people experience the love and grace of Jesus, and invites His people to participate creatively with Him in his work of transformation.
To inspire, support and mobilize one another to live like Jesus as a transforming and life-giving presence in our families, communities and the world.
Our Core Values
At North Park we are committed to see people completely trust and follow Jesus Christ. As we work to see them build their lives upon the truths of Scripture and be inspired through worship, teaching and service we will stress these core values:
Life Transformation: We commit to growing people in Christlikeness, allowing Jesus to transform their motives, thoughts and deeds.
(Rom. 12:1-4; John 15:8; 2 Cor. 3:18; Deut. 6:4-9)
Gratitude and Generosity: We commit to seeing people released from the bonds of consumerism as they respond extravagantly with generosity and deep gratitude for all God provides.
(Deut. 15:7-11; 2 Cor. 8:6-11; 1 Thess. 5:18; Luke 17:11-18)
Practical, Relevant Faith: We commit to bringing God’s word to the realities of today’s culture and to applying the truths of the Scripture to our everyday lives.
(Col. 3:17; Js. 2:14-17; Luke 10:27)
Grace: We commit to embracing all people, regardless of their life situation or brokenness and to loving them too much to leave them there.
(Eph. 2:1-9 and 4:32; Gal. 6:1-2)
Living on Mission: We commit to going beyond ourselves by extending the love, grace and message of Jesus Christ to our homes, workplaces, communities and the world.
(Mic. 6:8; Matt. 28:18-20; Acts 1:7-8; Col 1:28-29; Acts 5:42 and 17:17)
Community: We commit to seeing people deeply connected to one another in caring and challenging relationships.
(Acts 2:42-47; Heb. 10:25; 1 John 4:7-8; Gal. 6:2)
A two year discernment process that included staff, Elders and Deacons led to the development of these Vision, Mission and Values – which has in turn guided the development of Key Strategies and Objectives.
