Offering classes in Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced
students listen several times to the story, allowing for a meaningful context and foundation for further learning.
Students discuss the story from simple understanding to more complex as the lesson continues. The more they listen to the story, the more opportunity is given to share their understanding of it.
After listening and speaking opportunities, learners are given the opportunity to read the text to strengthen their oral language skills and understanding of the story.
This is the final stage in showing an understanding of the story. It incorporates the previous opportunities of listening, speaking and reading in a meaningful way.
Classes have teachers as well as assistants and use small group methods where you will have a chance to speak and participate. Course materials have been designed by Gail Tiessen, Professor Emerita of TESOL at Providence Seminary in Manitoba. Gail started the TESOL program at Providence and has since trained thousands of ESL teachers who now serve around the world and in a variety of settings.
Courses use the Bible as the text for learning English.
