Embracing all people, regardless of their life situation or brokenness and walking alongside them to embrace Life Transformation.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – Ephesians 2:8-9
Grace is one of those truths of the Christian faith so amazing that we often don’t fully grasp the beauty of it. In fact, at times, we find ourselves not allowing its freedom to sink into our very being as we try to earn our way. In truth, the more we grasp the amazingness of grace, the more we will have an outflow of good deeds that we want to engage in, not to earn more of God’s love, but to respond out of our gratitude.
As a church, we want to embrace grace for ourselves as well as for those that choose to enter into our community. No matter where someone has come from or what they have done (or haven’t done), we embrace them. And as we understand grace together, we know that we will all be changed and our lives will be transformed. Grace is at the epicenter of what drives us. We are all equally unfit to be accepted by God, but through Jesus, His grace brings us to be fully accepted by God. Since we are accepted, we accept others.
